A week tomorrow it will be my birthday. I have realised that I cannot fully alter the animations – they are recreations of something seemingly innocuous but by simply remaking them they are given a new light. To draw over them would be changing them too much – they’ve got to speak for themselves.
Animating the phone’s first-person perspective – the camera as the primary tool of self-conceptualisation. If I combined different reels etc, I could create my own narrative or algorithmic film. How could I create my own fake reels. Perhaps I shoot them in the photography studio, then print those off and redo the process?
If I did the other method, it would become a type of strata-cut.
